Bruce Mintz’s practice emphasis is personal injury, and corporate commercial litigation, including construction law matters and creditor remedies.
Bruce joined the firm in 2023 after establishing and running his firm as it was then known as Mintz Law. Bruce received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of Alberta and his law degree from the University of Toronto. He was admitted to the Law Society of Alberta in July 1971. He has practiced in civil and criminal areas of the law and represented clients before the Alberta Court of Justice, Court of King’s Bench, Court of Appeal and the Federal Court of Canada.
In addition, Bruce has conducted matters before the Energy Resources Conservation Board, Land Compensation Board, Planning Board, Alberta Municipal Board, Edmonton City Council, Criminal Injuries Compensation Board, Development Appeal Board, and Alberta Human Rights Tribunal.
He has been a course instructor on Professional Responsibility and Civil Litigation for the Alberta Law Society.
Bruce has also served the community in many capacities over the years. Since 2000, he has served as President of the Edmonton Masters Athletics Association, a track and field club for athletes over 35. He is a founder and discipline director of the Victoria Masters Soccer League since 2014. Over the last 7 years, he has been a goalkeeper coach for a community league soccer team and, more recently, an Edmonton Minor Soccer Association club team.
He participates in international track meets and field competitions and is a goalkeeper in the Victoria Masters Soccer League.
